Charles E. Schaefer Ph. D. is professor of psychology at Fairleigh Dickinson University Hackensack New Jersey. Dr. Schaefer is the co-founder and director emeritus of the Association for Play Therapy a national organization that includes international membership. He is a fellow of the American Psychological Association. Among Dr. Schaefer's forty-five books are the outstanding Handbook of Play Therapy and The Therapeutic Use of Child's Play both of which have become classics in the field. He maintains a private psychotherapy practice with children and their families in Hackensack New Jersey. Donna M. Cangelosi Psy. D. is a licensed psychologist and registered play therapist supervisor who maintains a private practice with children adolescents and adults in Upper Montclair New Jersey where she provides psychotherapy clinical supervision and parent education. She is co-editor of Play Therapy Techniques Vol. 1 and The Playing Cure and author of Saying Goodbye in Child Psychotherapy as well as several chapters dealing with psychodynamic play therapy.
