In backlight, side light, or flash photography, this lens hood helps prevent non-imaging light from entering the lens and reduces lens flare. It blocks stray light when shooting in front-lit or side-lit conditions. During lighting or night photography, it minimizes the impact of surrounding interference light. The hood provides protection against accidental damage and prevents fingers from touching the lens surface. It also offers some protection from wind, sand, rain, and snow. The use of this lens hood does not interfere with the use of filters mounted on the front of the lens. It effectively blocks side light sources, helping to enhance image contrast, color, and saturation.
