Use this skiving knife with an angled, round cutting edge to reduce the thickness of your leather quickly and smoothly. This tool is fashioned from D2 Steel with an ergonomic handle made from walnut wood, providing comfort and better control during use. Great for general leather cutting purposes also. A great value for your money.Note: The blade of this tool has only undergone one heat treatment.To skive leather, place its flesh side up on a hard surface with the edge you want to skive facing away from you. Cut your leather outwards or across from where you want the skive to begin straight through to the edge of the leather, holding the knife with the bevel facing upwards and the edge of the blade facing in the same way as the edge of the leather.Approximate dimensions & product data:• Blade material: D2 Steel• Handle material: Walnut wood• Size: 195x45x30mmPlease note: This tool's blade is sharp, keep out of the reach of children.
