The emulator is the link between the collector and the Lambda probe. Its task is to move the Lambda probe away from the exhaust gases, and to average the reading of the exhaust gas analysis. It is used in cars that meet Euro 3 and Euro 4 standards. In these cars, behind the catalyst, there is a second Lambda probe, which performs a diagnostic function, it controls the correct operation of the regulatory probe located through the catalyst. This allows the controller to condense deviations by calculating modified values. This allows for precise dosing of the composition of the air fuel mixture.
