Apply grease or low-strength threadlocker to the thread adapter. 2. Tighten the thread adapter into the fork using a 2.3mm pin spanner (e.g., Park Tool SPA-2). The flange must face outward. 3. Lubricate the O-ring on the thru-hole insert with grease. Install from the outside using gentle pushing and twisting motion. Do not use the thru axle to drive the insert in. 4. Apply grease to the thru axle threads. Tighten to 9–13.5 N·m using a 5mm hex key.
