Not intended for use under conditions of weak perfusion or motion. Not suitable for long-term continuous monitoring; reposition or inspect the probe site every 4 hours or alternate between fingers. Contraindications: Do not use on tissue-damaged areas. Not suitable for individuals with known sensitivity to PVC, TPU, TPE, or ABS plastics. Warnings: A) Improper placement may result in inaccurate readings. B) Excessive ambient light may interfere with measurement. Shield the sensor with an opaque material if necessary. C) Reposition the probe to a different site at least every 4 hours. Skin condition should be monitored; if skin integrity is compromised, move the probe immediately. D) Presence of intravascular dyes may affect measurement accuracy. E) Motion artifacts may impact performance; not recommended for highly active or restless patients. F) Avoid over-tightening the probe. Excessive pressure may cause venous pulsation and inaccurate readings. G) Route cables carefully to prevent entanglement or patient entrapment. H) Do not use during MRI procedures. Metallic components may cause burns and interfere with imaging. The MRI environment may also affect device performance. I) Do not modify or alter the device. Unauthorized changes may impair function or safety. J) Do not sterilize using radiation, steam, or ethylene oxide without following validated protocols. K) Do not immerse in liquids for cleaning or disinfection. L) Radiofrequency interference from mobile phones or wireless devices may affect sensor operation. Instructions for Use: 1) Insert the fingertip into the sensor until it reaches the stop. Ensure the nail is not excessively long to allow proper contact. 2) Open the lower cover of the finger clamp to ensure even pressure across the padding. 3) Verify correct sensor placement. If the index finger is unsuitable, use another finger. Avoid use on thumbs, toes, hands, or feet in pediatric patients. Note: Choose a monitoring site free from arterial lines, blood pressure cuffs, or IV infusions. 4) Route the cable along the back of the hand to minimize movement. 5) Connect the probe to the compatible oximeter and follow the manufacturer’s operating instructions. Note: If pulse detection is inconsistent, check sensor placement. Thick, thin, or heavily pigmented fingers may impair signal. Reposition or select an alternative sensor type if needed. Maintenance, Cleaning, and Disinfection: A) Inspect for damage and cleanliness before each use. B) Cleaning: Wipe with a soft cloth dampened with mild detergent or soapy water. Dry thoroughly after cleaning. C) Disinfection: Use chemical disinfectants such as ethanol, propanol, or phenol-based solutions. Do not immerse in liquid. Avoid prolonged exposure to UV light. D) Sterilization: If required, use ethylene oxide (EtO) gas at a maximum temperature of 50°C (122°F). Follow aeration guidelines per sterilization equipment instructions. Replacement: Replace every 6 months with regular use. If continued use is necessary, inspect frequently for wear or damage. Storage: After cleaning, disinfecting, and drying, store in a sealed plastic bag.
